District Deputy Grand Master, R.W. Bro. Blain R Moffat's
Ontario District Project No. 2365 for his Masonic year is the Masoni-Ch.I.P
Ontario Equipment Fund, with a goal of raising $10,000.00 towards
their supplying hardware kits to Lodges in Ontario District that are
becoming centres for running the Masoni-Ch.I.P program.
MasoniCh.I.P. Ontario…. “MAKING A DIFFERENCE” Brethren, our Grand Master’s theme this year is “MASONRY, MAKING A DIFFERENCE”, and under the direction of Most Worshipful Bro. Allan J. Petrisor, a Child Identification program known as MasoniCh.I.P. Ontario has officially begun. The Masons of the Grand Lodge of Canada, in the Province of Ontario, have long held a commitment to children, their families, and our community. Our MasoniCh.I.P. Program is the most comprehensive child identification service currently available, which is designed to give families a measure of protection against the ever-increasing problem of missing children. It is brought exclusively to Ontario families by Masons, free of charge and has worked successfully in more than 20 States in the U.S. for many years. The MasoniCh.I.P. Child ID Program consists of five
major components – vital child information, digital fingerprints,
digital photographs, a digital video and a dental bite impression.
All of this data is burned onto a CD, and given to the parents or
guardian. Security and privacy are of the utmost
importance; herefore, it is significant to note that the Ontario
Masons keep nothing on file, with the exception of the permission
form signed by the parent, prior to participation in any event. Grand
Lodge and the MasoniCh.I.P. Committee are working diligently to provide
guidance so that this program can be brought to our communities. However,
to be successful, the MasoniCh.I.P. Program must be made consistently
available throughout this jurisdiction. All Masons are encouraged
to support their District, and their Lodges
